Brett looked good early.  Mark took control in the mid-game.  Yet Dan proved too good at the end.  This game highlighted just how good this game can be as it does not necessarily succumb to the "runaway leader" problem as was my initial concern.  Not only that, we all were making money early in this game which made it much easier to play from the get-go.

This was the third and final round of the Puerto Rico Tournament held at Valhalla's Gate.  All of the players had a shot at the top prize and I was able to come away with the victory despite a torrid late surge from Samuel.

Our first play of this game took exactly 7 hours.  We played this second game in a very quick 4 hours and 45 minutes.  Unfortunately for Dan and me, it was the same result.

Newcomer Josh started the game with us, but gracefully surrendered after two hours of play.  The rest of us marched on and finally concluded our first play of this game in a running time of SEVEN HOURS!  With the one hour of rules explanation before we started play, we spent an entire work day on this game.
