Samuel had coffee early and was able to build big and fast.  He forced the end of the game by having three big buildings and was victorious in the process.  Charlie used a hospice and office nicely to man his plantations and sell coffee to the trading house, while also benefiting from a wharf when the captain phase rolled around.  Josh crafted and shipped, maximizing his money with the factory and points with his harbor.  Brett had a wharf which came in handy late in the game when shipping became tight.
